first soday test

i'm not publishing anymore anytime soon, it takes too much time!
ithink this is the first soday test. RW's not a b'iyun rebbe anymore, but it's still interesting to see old tests. many didn't know the gemara while some Q on R' Rozovsky was being explained. The tests weren't marked equally, i got things marked wrong or 1/2 that MS got right.

soday tests I

gemara tests were given in soday, but often we got the answers b4 hand and it was almost always open notes. the grade a person got on his tests had no correspondence to his grade on the report card. for example, I normally got very high test grades but that didn't help my report card. there r 2 possibilities:
1. the tests only covered a small part of what was learned.
if this is true what was the point in them? and y wouldn't it cover e/t? and still, it should b a good indicator of how much u learned of e/t!
2. the tests did have q's from e/t learned, but it was possible to learn that just b4 the test. so u could get a good grade w/o having learned most of the time. and even if u had learned, u wouldn't know much more, the tests have it all. most did very poorly on the tests, b/c they didn't e/learn b4 the test.
wtvr.
the test below is from 9th grade and is on kiddushin 5b-7b. i took it w/o notes. (note : i only posted the first 2 dafim of the test b/c it takes forever)

Meseches Soday - The final Blatt

Meseches Soday - First Daf

I helped write the ideas, bg did the writing. Some of the mishna and gemara about hafsaka was censored, it discussed "hagonev es ha'auto..."
Meseches soday is very halachic, with barely any aggadata, though it could be added on.
It won't have a wide readership, since it's written in gemarish about soday, that's a tarti d'sasreih, we'll need an artscroll meseches soday.

The Regent's are coming up. People will have a chance to break the Regent's records. Please comment if you or someone else breaks or ties one of these records.

These are the records, to the best of my knowledge, for different regents taken by people in Soday. I put soday graduation years (not including 12th grade) next to people's names. I also wrote which year they took the test.

New School Year

-Those of you at Soday should post/comment.
-Unfortunately do to the new internet ban at Soday, this website will be doomed in a few years (this blog+nebach! may have caused the ban).
-We (12th graders) are learning at Ohr Hachaim.

Lakewood

Glunker and I learned in Lakewood(, PA) this summer. (Lake Como, where MoKo used to be, is now Lakewood (or at least part of it is).)

Jewish Politicians

-Joseph Lieberman lost the Connecticut Democratic Senatorial primary to Ned Lamont due to his position on Iraq. Lieberman is running as an independent and has a good chance of winning.
-There is an Orthodox shul in Maryland which has 15 families, but has 2 men running for the Republican nomination for Congress in two different districts. (Thet live down the block from each other, but jerrymandering put them in different districts.)

MoKo

MoKo was good. Visitors included Rabbi Feldman (of YU), Rabbi Yudin, Rabbi Taubes (formerly of MNJ), Rabbi Chanoch Teller, Rabbi Rothwachs (Rabbi of my shul), and Rosh Yeshiva of Shalavim.
In Mussar one time, R' Kohn said that if someone asks you how you are, you shouldn't say "Can't complain", rather Baruch Hashem (and I guess also to add on how you are).
Another time R' Kohn said that instead of asking how was the shiur, a Rav used to ask how is your Yiras Shamayim.
Some made a joke: Mr. A says: "How's your Yiras Shamayim today". Mr. B answers "can't complain".
R' Kohn's son got married during the second week and some of us went to the wedding in Brooklyn.
I played over 200 games of chess (Mistama) this year at MoKo. There were 3 main boards and 2 clocks (except that Glunker's broke at the beginning.

Pointless

I walked to Lishkas Hasofer and back after Chem Regent (and didn't see last 3 questions).
P.S. Maybe someone could post everyone's e-mail address.

[Note from Glunk: This is the 150th post! The last 50 posts happened quite quickly! Wednesday is camp day so there prob. won't be any blogging after that. The Blog may have a few more posts over the next few years, i doubt it will reach 200. Were not really in Soday anymore anyways, so there's no real point in blogging on Soday, maybe I'll make a new blog. ]

soday loses $60,000

the soday property went down in value $59,448 in the last 30 days. it's now worth between $877,024 and $1,130,386.* A similar-valued home on 1 miriam ln. sold for $995,000 in november of 2005. in mid-03 soday was worth approx. $600(k). in '97 it was worth less than a $quarter(million).

*these prices don't take into account the changes made on the building, which probably make it worth less.

History regents over

the monsey vans didn't pick up very well, and some kids came late. regents q's pretty easy except a few on court cases. essay q: describe leadup to any big event in US history and discuss results. (I did it the wrong way) dbq: discuss influence of media on US hist and society.
its hard to do bad on history regents. even if u only get a 6 out of 10 as total essay score (on essays where u can write about anything and dont need to know much) and u get 6 points off on the questions, u'll still get a 95.
if u get a 10 on the essays, u can get 18 q's wrong and still get a 95. if u get a a 4 (2 two's) u need to get all the q's right to get a 95. (link)

chem review (hard q's)

here are some chem q's i don't know in the prentice hall review book:

page-question# topic

35-12 naming compounds (see p.25-26)
36-22 '''
77-26 electroneg
110-2 reaction speed
123-22 '''
137-23,28 electro cells
138-40 '''
142-8 knowing acids
152- 24 to 29 acid-bases
186-17 radioactive

this doesnt contain q's from practice regents

i still have to do all of biochemistry.

soday stats II

Here's some more soday blog stats, in small. (with predicted visits for next month)

so-long so-da y

3 years of soday have gone by. 9th grade was pretty long and e/o was better at end than beginning. 10th grade had a little bit of learning. 11th grade went by quickly. despite soday's belief about potential i was there for 3 years.

Test Review

Ideas for test:
-For Chem-Look at charts-they can give a lot of answers
-For Chem-Generally electronegativity and ionization energy is greater and atomic radius is smaller as you move towards top right.
-Generally if the answer which is most similar to the other answers is right i.e:
If the answer choices are
A. the 1970s
B. the 20th century
C. the 1870s
D. the 1920s
Since 3 answers are decades, and 1 is a century, the answer is most likely a decade. Since 2 answers have the 70s and one has the 20s the answer probaly is one of the 70s choices. Since 3 answers are in the 20th century and one is in the 19th century, the answer is probably in the 20th century. Therefore the answer should be A.
-Use logic to figure out answers.
Ex. 1
Which statement describes pi?
A. It is positive
B. It is a rational number
C. It is less than or equal to zero
D. It is less than 2
You have two hints to figure this out.
1. all numbers fall under either A or C. Therefore one of them must be true
2. Since when ever a number is less than or equal to zero is is also less than 2, whenever C is true D is true. Therefore C cannot be true, or else there would be two answers. Therefore A is true
Ex. 2
Which one of these is multiplication?
A. 2 divided by 5
B. 3 divided by 10
C. 11 times 4
D. 1 divided by 7
Although usually you try to find the most similar answer to the other answers, here you shouldn't to that. If you don't know what times and divided by mean, you should realize that there is no difference between A,B, and D, so C is the answer.

Last day of Soday for Us

During the last day of Soday there were soda fountains, going to attic+basement, getting an autographed hat piece, siyums, and last laps around track.
Maybe you could use baking soda+water as the drink and a non-Kosher candy to limit Bizayon.

the soday blog just got it's 1,000th visit, just as the soday year is over.
the 1000th visitor was from canada and stayed for 0 seconds.

essay q's

in both cases discuss specific literary elements.
1. what's the power of reading? explain poem and story about kaplunkia or s/t.
2. some quote from Martin luther king junior saying the only way to measure s/o's greatness is how he deals with difficulties. interpret, agree or disagree if bg, and show position from 2 works of literature.

If any 9th or 10th graders are interested in becoming an administrator, they can email me or comment on this post.
Most likely, the blog will have few or no posts after June 21st this year. There's no point really in deleting it, it's a history of the first class in soday. In 5 years from now, the kids in soday (if its still around) will be able to read about the first class in soday.

R' Lander visits

he spoke to the school and said the reason jews during 1st mikdash could do the 3 aveiros was b/c they didn't say bircas haTorah (not enough chashivus or ameilus) and so torah didn't protect them. if u learn torah intensely, even when ur not learning the yetzer hara won't get u. then they had a meeting in rw's office but then moved to the office, just like a kid would move from the kitchen to outside. then RL spoke to the 11th grade and said no i-pods um pcp's [sic] cell-phones or pocket pc's. ( i guess i-river's and palm pilots r allowed.) he also said u have to come on time to shacharis. they may decide to actually b more strict for us so we don't have a bad influence on the atmosphere. we can set up the first 2 seder's but the 3rd will be learned with yeshurunites, lucky them. rl didn't mention yom yerushalayim and no one had to guhlakhs.

We went to Lakewood and visited R' Shustel who gave us a few minutes of divrei torah, then we went to a bagel shop where weezy was eating the store out it's food, eating a bagel, a muffin a cup of ice cream and probably a few more things, and speaking of ice cream, R' Real was eating one in the van and not all of the ice cream ended up in his mouth, his pants and the car seat helped him finish the cup, (R' Real now u know why there's toilet paper in the vans) (and he has toilet paper instead of paper towel or napkins cause toilet paper is cheaper).

THE LARGE ONE: REBBI, IT'S A KNOWN FACT THAT BOBCATS ARE AFRAID OF RACOONS AND FOXES EVEN THOUGH BOBCATS ARE BIGGER BECAUSE THERE VICIOUS
THE SMALL ONE: ARE YOU CALLING YOURSELF A BOBCAT?
THE LARGE ONE: NO, I'M CALLING YOU A RACOON!!
THE REBBI PIPES UP: AND HIS NAME ISN'T EVEN BOB!!!
Football season begins!
Elson smashes into tree tree times, Gedaliah trips on tree stump ("A tree!" I shouted) The "Football field" is too small and dangerous, and people will stop playing.

The post

The past post's title reminded me of the NY post.
Q: y would u think of such a paper, u only get the wall street journal!?
A: ah, b/c every morning it appears on the school's driveway. It disappears sometime during the day. I guess it's some free giveaway or s/t maybe?

spambot attack!

it seems a spambot put lots of comments saying "great site bla bla" on this blog. it then has a link to what seems like search results for things like mortage payments. i'm not sure the point in it, and i deleted most of them. I also put word recognition on the comment window so the bots can't do anything. In addition, I reduced the amount of posts showing on the homepage.

R. Moshe Shapiro in Teaneck

I've learned that R. Moshe Shapiro will be speaking in Teaneck/Bergenfield this coming Sunday evening. He will be speaking in Congregation Beth Abraham, which is led by R. Ya'akov Neuberger. Note the follow article by R. Neuberger: Halakha and Scientific Method (PDF)

(BG is going?)

SAT Scores

They keep on changing the date to recieve the scores. Originally we were supposed to be able to get scores online on May 22, but they pushed it off at least 2 times. Right now it's scheduled for May 31.

SAT vocab

for 3 years prof. harcerk has been teaching vocab words regularly, spending much of class time doing it. he wouldn't use the vocab book b/c he has a special list (from a long time ago, prob. when they still had antonyms and definetly still had analogies,) of words that r especially used on the SAT.
this past sunday, most 11th graders took the SAT. how many words were there on the SAT from 3 yrs. of vocab? 1

"i teach the words so u'll be educated...." said harcerk, "the words r just very likely to appear on the SAT."
but if only one word was on the SAT, we're probably not much more educated either. spending 15 min writing down some alphabetic vocab words each week is not the way to increase ur vocab. the best way is by reading, and u can also try learning large amounts in a more organized, interesting way. just memorizing a list of words is innefficient and rather pointless.

Form B?

If you click on this pdf file you will get the History AP 2006 form B essay questions. I don't know what form B is, but I would've done a lot better on that DBQ. Instead of writing about strange womanhood ideals and cults of domesticity (s/t i knew nothin about), i could've written about the development of tensions between the US and USSR, which i know very well. (AP essay site)
I would think e/o in the US would find that essay easier, it's also actual history unlike the long-questioned woman's studies one. What is form B?!

100th Post!

To the left is a chart of the web traffic to this blog. A lot of the visits were only for 0 seconds, so I'm not sure what they mean.
The majority of the posts were published in the first month of the blog. After that, there was much less posting, especially during Pesach vacation, but both traffic and posting are rising now; May may be as high as March. I know, I can't write a normal paragraph.
In honor of the 100th post, I put back some Google ads. I also put a button link on the side to some useful software. In addition, I put some famous Soday posts under that.

Upcoming Events #3

This Shabbas is Parshas Emor (and Parshas Shor). Next Tuesday is Lag Ba'Omer/L'aOmer. Wednesday is Mr. Shweidel. Shabbas is Behar Bechukosai and "Ya'an Uvya'an"

SAT I

Many people took SAT today (can't discuss specifics). Pretty easy. Good essay topic. 4 math sections. Last writing section was hurried: 14 questions in 10 minutes. Scores available at collegeboard.com on May 22 (you may need an account-which you could make quickly). Also, May has a good curve, since most people who take AP's and are serious about studying don't take the May SAT

AP over

The AP is finished. All that's left is chemistry, where we really didn't need to do any of the textbook; English, which doesn't test knowledge that much so doesn't require much studying, and Math B for the Math B class. and the SAT's of course.
Were not allowed to discuss the AP or they say our scores will be invalidated. whatever.

Soday History (any number)

This story (from the original soday blog) happened two years ago from tommorow and many times since:

Wednesday, May 5

"The one whos picked first in sports is the best" said Proffesor Harcerk today. "And I was always picked first."
Harcerk continued "I used to run 30 m.p.h. down the street every day. I ran along a truck and he clocked it" "yea sure, you ran 30mph" said Diddy, but the Harc insisted it was true "I would tell you if I was lying, and you would be able to tell if it was something so ridiculous [sic]"

Soday History II

here are some posts from the blog 2 years ago, slightly revised:

Thursday, April 29

teacher: I was the fastest cutter, so a guy was jealous of me, and he threw a rock - pretty far up the hill. and I threw it over the hill, over the road, past the brook.... And he looked at me with many expressions and never bothered me again.

Wednesday, April 28

Just May and 23 days of June left!

“who wants to read next?” asked the teacher, even though he was teaching a ninth-grade class. no one raised their hand. “if you all raise your hands simultaneously -” he began saying for the millionth time, but this time was cut off “SHUT Uhh..” shouted the real. shutting him up.

How come no one mentioned this ?

Hunk? I went to the AP site and scrolled down! It appears there are later testing dates that no one mentioned. If really we all could of taken our AP's later, then why the [your filter does not allow these words to be displayed] didn't any one know about this?!

UPDATE: I wasn't the first person to scroll down. The later testing dates are for people who were taking a different AP or sick the first time, but there's no mention of that on the page I linked to.

Purim Shpiel 2005

This is the shpiel from last year. Shco-ach to GA who typed up this shpiel, he spent 2 months typing. I checked it over. It took me more time to write this shpiel last year, and there was also more time to rehearse. It was also easier to perform. You can vote on which shpiel you think is better-written by clicking on comments.

Purim Shpeil
By AK with weezy’s help

Scene One
Purim in Israel
Nenner: Ey-Foh ha - um krias ha-mugeelah?
Israeli: Slichah?
Nenner: Ey-foh hakree As-hamugeelah?
Israeli: Ma Atah Omer?
Nenner: Ey-foh …
Israeli: (screams in hebrew)
Nenner: Ey-foh…
Israeli walks away

Scene Two
Two years ago (2003)
RR: It’s shreckluch! The police are narrowing in on us. It’s time to find a new HQ for our smuggling business.
RW: We need HQ’s in a place they’ll never suspect, a rural area like monsey.
RR: But we can’t just buy a place and say it’s our HQ we need a cover story.
RW: How about if we make a school. Then we have a good HQ, and we get to run a school.
RR: Gevaltik! (nods head and chews beard) But what if the kids find the smuggling center?
RW: We’ll get a building with an off limits area like a basement and no one will be allowed there.
RR: But kids might go there anyways.
RW: We’ll get old strict teachers to scare the kids.
RR: Yea, they can also give the kids so much HW, they won’t have time or energy to look in the basement.
RW: We’ll hire teachers that fit in our plan.
RR: How long do we plan on having this new HQ?
RW: Only a few years to be safe, then we’ll move again.
RR: How will we explain the end of a school? We don’t want anything to look suspicious.
RW: We’ll get a building that falls apart. If the doors break, the windows crack, the walls get holes and the toilets don’t flush we’ll be forced to move.
RR: Especially toilets they can’t work too well. Broken toilets always close schools.
RW: Are you being facitious?
RR: No
RW: We’ll also get really bad kids so the school gets ruined.
RR: Right, we’ll start with grubba am haratzim and every year try to get worse kids so eventually it has to close.
RW: But we have to be vigilant all year…

Scene Three
During The School Year
RR: Shrekalach! The teachers can’t come next Wednesday and were getting a big drug contraband delivery that afternoon.
RW: We need some way to keep them occupied that afternoon.
RR: I know! (gevaltik) We’ll have a two and a half hour seminar so everybody stays in the Beis Medrash.
More Recently
RW: This Wednesday night some trucks are delivering some “stuff”.
RR: It’s pashut We’ll have a shpiel.
RW: Shpiel? Isn’t that a basketball player? Shpiel O’neil
RR: (Rolls Eyes)
RW: Oh I thought it was.

Scene Four
In the middle of last year.
Rubin walks up to where Karch is throwing rocks over a hill
RR: Mr.Karcher! I hear you’re a very talented human being.
K: (Raising glasses) Why yes, in fact, in fact I was an exceptional minor league baseball player who could’ve made it into the major leagues. I was also a noted football player who could run over 35 MPH. I’m a professional musician whose performed before audiences numbering in the thousands. I’m an accomplished artist, writer and poet who had his works published in various magazines and books. I was the only one in my college class who got a 92 on a paper and for that my professor didn’t curve it. I’ve lived in 39 countries and speak 14 languages to boot.
RR: In that case, would you like a job as a teacher in a school which is really just a cover for an illegal smuggling business?
K: Well considering that my goal in life is to help and protect… OK, sure.
RR: Gevaltik
Everyone shakes hands, Rabbis leaves and Karch continues throwing rocks.

Scene Five

G-steen: These stuff are terrible, they’re hurting my spiracles (Shows spiracles) I can’t breathe.
Rimer: I never can. But I smoked this in kindergarten.
M: OK now. Myron c’mon now. It’s not up for debate now. Elias, what are spiracles now?
G: Spiracles take oxygen –
R: Hey Morton get me two cups of water
G: HEY! SHUT UP! My spiracles take in O2 through tracheal tubes which branch into smaller tubes which form a respitory surface where CO2 diffuses –
Nenner: (dropping cigarette on shirt) Dang! I always do that. That’s why I get these stains, and I only have 2 shirts. I couldn’t find any other in my size.

Scene Six
RR & RW are holding a bag.

RR: R’ Weiss, you have the stuff?
RW: It’s right here R’ Dovid (lifts bag) our last bag.
(Sirens or noise)
RR: OY! There’s a police car outside.
RW: Oy gevalt it’s the police! What do I do?
RR: Quick, flush the stuff down the toilet.
(RW runs out and jingles flusher)
RW: The flusher isn’t working! Stupid toilet!
RR: Oy shreklach!
(Policeman charges in, RW runs to BM tries locking door. PM stops them.)
PM: Freeze!
RW: But winters over, why should I freeze?
PM: Because the games over. You’re under arrest.
(forces them out of the room.)

The (shpiel should’ve ended here, but weez wanted a scene 7 as the) End

should u go to YU?

someone asked the Chazon Ish this Question and he said:
Avremeleh, I think that it is a good idea for you to study in Revel’s yeshiva [YU]. There you can excel in learning if you so desire. Moreover, you could study for a trade or profession in the secular department. But, remember, in the cold weather you should wear a warm coat.
The person was also considering: Mesivta Torah Vodaath, Yeshivat Chaim Berlin, and Mesivta Tifereth Jerusalem. (Link)

PURIM SHPIEL 2006 - Fully Typed!

I typed this up since it's not as bad as it seemed. It's more complex, with more dialog and action than last year's shpiel, but it was acted pefectly, or as Moshe Simon said, “that was seriously the worst purim shpiel i ever saw”. It's typed with very slight modifications. I put some direct quotes in quotes, and put in a few endnotes to clarify some parts (though u still have to get most of it).

This shpiel was ok'd by RR before being performed, so i assume its ok for the blog.

PURIM SHPIEL 2006

Performed live in the Soday Beis Medrash on Purim Night

Scene One (intro) - Ruvy Shmelczer visiting NY, 1979

(Enter Ruvy holding bottle of water, and Josh Weiss with shirt untucked, sweatshirt with logo and hood, and an Israeli Hand band)

Ruvy: Cucumber! Why are you wearing the band of the Resha'im-fools?!

JW: Dude, do you have problems?

R: Pickle-face! Did u read “perfidy”?

JW: Well, the rav says its ok.

R: JB?! He's a cucumber! Take it off now!

JW: yo man where r u from anyways?

R: Chicago

JW: what school u go to?

R:Beis Yakov

JW: [laughing] u go to beis yakov?

[Ruvy splashes JW with bottle of water.]

R:Shmelczer will never tolerate cucumbers!

Scene Two (intro) - Many years later in soday

(R' Shmel by shtender, two kids by table.)

R' Shmelczer: Pickles! It's assur to say that! Take a break now.

[kid takes out music and begins listening to it. Thingamijig begins beeping. Kid puts away music as RR enters]

R' Rubin: [looks around] “the rashi test is through shlishi” [leaves]

Other kid: How did u know R' Rubin was coming?

Kid: with this RADaR detector

Other: Hunk? Radio Detecting And Ranging?

Kid: No. RADaR – R' Avrohom Dovid Rubin detector.

Other: How does it work?

Kid: R' Rubin carries around a special device which sends out signals to detect people talking about him.i The radar detector picks up those signals and beeps.

[Kid resumes listening to music. Radar detector on table begins beeping. RR walks in and sees music. Confiscates music and takes radar detector too.]

RR: “It's assur gomur! Assur!” [glares, (but grins slightly after turning) pockets music, but can't tell what radar detector is.]

RR: R' weiss, do u know what this is?

RW: I'll take a look at it R' dovid. [RW takes radar detector from RR and pockets it.]

Scene Three – In the Future at Styrofoam cups inc.

(RW by door, minch and shweidel right outside, karch with broom nearby)

CEO r'weiss: Baruch Hashem, its time for a meeting.

Schweidel: Oh no, its going to be so boring, his children are more interesting than him.

Minch: [cough-laughs] I don't want to go now.

RW: “everybody come on in, the water's warm.”

[no one goes]

RW: “30 seconds, [waits a few seconds] 20 sec. 10 sec. 5 sec. 4 – 3 – 2 – 1. I'm closing the door.”

[as he closes door, e/o comes, karch comes in last. e/o sits down at meeting table]

RW:A long time ago, i used to run a school. Our policy was to minimize any potential learning a kid might do, so it didn't do too well. Also, all the teachers moved to florida. The final blow was when we ran out of foam cups. We had already ran out of plates and bowls so we were using cups for e/t. When they were used up, the school closed down. B/c of this, i decided i would start a foam cup company.ii

Schweidel: “I would accept that from u, if i knew u had a life.”

RW: [bangs hard 5 times] Shh! I have a life, I'm able to breathe (hee).

Styrofoam cups inc. has grown and grown and now has only one competitor: FoamCo. Later in the meeting I will reveal my plan to take over the Foam cup market completely. But now for the kenas scorecards. [hands out scorecards]

Minch: [in minch scream] “That's really not right now.” I shouldn't get a $5000 kenas now. What's wrong with saying now now?

RW: (facetiously) all of a sudden, we can debate now?

Schweidel: “You must have been born on the 11th day!” I can't get fined for that. u also say bad lines! And $10 each? I could buy a car with that money!

RW:Maybe that's what I plan on doing [hee]. But now another important matter. People have not been cleaning up after themselves so I asked janitor karch to speak to us about cleanliness.

Karch: “I'm good.” I'm the best janitor. I clean b/c that's what i believe in and boy, do i clean well. I was once a CEO myself but money isn't important to me, cleaning is. I was once a teacher too, but i quit b/c i wanted to clean.

Schw: didn't they fire u after that court case, when u were sent to jail?

Karch: umm.. maybe, but that's not the real reason. I clean b/c that's what's important. If i wanted money, I could have it. I'm a great poet. One day, ur great grand-kids will be reading my poetry in school and they'll ask u how i was as a person. Make sure to tell them that i was a baseball player. I was the fastest one ever. It only took me 7 seconds to get around the basesiii. S/o clocked me and y would he lie? “But I'm the kind of guy who doesn't talk about the things i do, u just kind of find out as i do them.”

[karch sits down]

RW: thank u karcher, i hope n/o will leave any messes around anymore. Minch will now tell us about our expenditures.

Minch: ok now, so 10% of our costs go into making cups now. That's 10% now. Y do people buy our cups now?

Karch: b/c –

Minch: don't call out now! C'mon now. That's not right now and now i have to interupt now.

Karch: but –

Minch: It's not up for debate now! That's really not right now. And now i have to stop now. And now we waste more time now. So y do they buy our cups now?

[Schweidel raises hand and is called on]

Schweidel: b/c they're stupid. (said seriously)

Minch: right, or... [moves around arm in more gesture]

schw: b/c they have no personality.

Minch: right. Put that in ur notes now. They buy our cups b/c they're thirsty now.iv

Anyways, we spend 40% of our budget on air-conditioning and heating bills now since touro pays for it anyways now. 20% pays for trees and the holes in the ground now. We also spend 20% on research and advertising now. 10% i ommited now.

[minch sits down]

RW: Now it's my turn to speak. [karch gets up and gets his broom. Rw continues.] we've been losing a lot of the market to FoamCo and we're stuck in so much debt we can't even budge-it. [rw hee's while others groan.]

but baruch hashem, i found a solution. you pour it on the cups – [hee] i mean a solution to the problem. A new type of cup- the perfect cup. It will destroy all the competition. [takes out an inside-out cup.] Here it is. FoamCo would give a million dollars for this cup.

[Rw suddenly is startled. Reaches into pocket and pulls out a beeping Radar detector. Stares at it.]

RW: what, that means r' dovid of FoamCo is here!

[RW shuts off radar detector looks around. RR enters through window. (Rw is in shock) minch gets up to block RR, RR pushes him (in slow motion) out of the way. RR takes the cup (breaking shelf) and tries to escape. Karch blocks his way with broom in middle of room.

Karch: The same guy who picks off runners going to second is the same guy who'll flip u out the –

[RR blows karch out of the way and continues running. RW (who woke up from shock) picks up broom, and runs to block rr's way near door.

RW: r' dovid, u shall not pass!

[RR punches, Rw (“oow!”) goes back, swings broom left and right to hit RR, RR kicks, RW knocked around. as RR tries escaping RW sticks broom under – hitting RR back(“ow”), RW swings broom around into RR who blocks it and broom goes flying. RW charges RR, knocking him over table. Cup falls out of rr's hands as he falls. RW bends over (“ouch, my knee.”) to get it as RR (“shreckluch”) scrambles for it. Both reach it and Cup gets shmunched. Both get up in shock. ]

RR: All this over some foam cups.

RW: (slyly) yea, maybe we should settle our differences.

RR: yea. (nods head, chews beard.) we can stop competing. Maybe we can merge our two companies

RW: good idea.

[they shake hands. RR continues walking towards door.}

RW: (glaring) “Not so fast Papperelli!” Do u really think i'd want to work together again?

[RW punches RR, who goes flying and lands unconsciouses]

schw: Hooray! “I'll do the biggest jig in the school! (jigs)

karch: I slowed him down!

THE END

iWhy else would he always show up when people r talking about him?

iiThe school advertised “minimize ur bochur's potential” by accident, but was it a Freudian slip? Only one teacher moved to florida so far, but more probably will. At the time of the shpiel there were no plates, so we had to use bowls, but e/t often runs out during the day.

iiiIf he could run 35mph that's how long it would take.

ivThis whole Minch scenario always happened.
